SOPHIE-ANNE monica LECLERQ
is sharp, childish, and selfish
Name: Sophie-Anne Leclerq
Age: 1,100
Species: Vampire
Hometown: Lotharingia, France
Status: Complicated, seeing as she's very non-committal.
History:
Born in northern France, Sophie-Anne was the daughter to the richest man in the town. At this point, Sophie-Anne had her birth name attached to her. She was called Judith, a named she wasn't all that fond of. Being only ten or eleven, a strange peddler entered the town. As it turned, it seemed that he was harboring a form of influenza that she had never encountered before. It was not long before everyone in the town would die, two weeks exactly. The only two still alive were Sophie and a older male. His name was Clovis and for some reason unknown to Sophie, he didn't like her at all. It was Sophie's girl-like self that seemed to be the reason the two were able to survive. She was raped by Clovis and after he sexually assaulted her he went to the closest town and began bartering her off for food and money. The two stayed out of the way in the forest, trying to make due with what they had. However, everything changed when a starving vampire wandered into their campsite. Seeing as he was much larger than Clovis, he killed him and faced Sophie-Anne. He spared her life and she became his companion.
Things got better from there. The vampire's name was Alain, and he was the closest thing that Sophie-Anne had been to a male in a friendly sort of manner. The two traveled together for three years, all of which Sophie begged Alain to change her. She craved the same power he had, she wanted the strength. As many times as she asked he said "Soon." and then proceeded to go from town to town bartering off Sophie just as Clovis had done years before. Though the next time he entered a random town, it would be different. A man recognized him, as Alain had killed his wife the last time he passed through. He was bound with silver and was thrown into a small hut until the resident priest returned from a trip he was on. Sophie, on the other hand, was luckier. They knew she was human and not responsible for the deaths, so she was not bound the same way Alain was. She devised a smart plan that would turn her into a vampire and save Alain. After much convincing, he agreed. Sophie was changed and buried in the ground of the hut, looking as packed down as possible. She was to rise the next night and take off the silver that bound him and they would disappear into the darkness. The plan went terribly wrong. When she dug her way out of the hole, she saw Alain dead. Asking the priest, he told her what happened. To cover her tracks she told him she was the Angel of Death but she was passing over him because of the good deed he did for her.
She escaped and spent the next years traveling aimlessly trying to control her powers and grow stronger. During this time, she ran into an orphan who had a story that was extremely similar to hers. He had been roaming around forests and was forced into things. From that moment on, Sophie-Anne deemed the orphan (Andre) as her body guard, companion and for quite awhile he sufficed as her lover. Along the time she also turned two Saxon Warriors, Sigebert and Wybert int0 vampires and her own body guards. Somehow, she had acquired a special ability with the vampires she created. She is able to communicate with them telepathically. She keeps her "children" with her, although this is different from how many other vampires normal child/maker scenarios. Despite this, Sophie-Anne spent her years growing in her position as a vampire. She moved from place to place until she settled down in Louisiana because she really seemed to enjoy Mardi Gras. She was wealthy after many years of obtaining money in random ways. However, as she became the Queen of Louisiana, she started to spoil herself until she now lives in a mansion with all the luxuries she could want... but she is left penniless and in debt.
Personality:
Sophie-Anne is an old vampire with a seemingly immature exterior. She appears to be cavalier and flirtatious while she is quick-witted and focused on self-preservation. Her compassion for others is limited, as she is regularly concentrated on number one. Sophie-Anne plays herself off as a simple vixen, though she is fierce and quite smart. She puts trust in her position as a queen, and asks others often to do her dirty work. Sophie-Anne is power-hungry and enjoys having the upper hand in situations. Because of this, she often puts her position to the test, forcing others to do tasks that are bad for their character.
Sophie-Anne shows a sliver of fondness towards humans, she sees them more as a main course than anything. When she does see some redeemable qualities in a human she generally changes them to a vampire. To state the obvious, she is a very selfish individual and really only sees urgency in her own needs. Despite this, she is charming and does care for others, however much she tries to hide this. When she begins to like a certain thing she holds it close to her and finds much comfort towards it. Though she is open about how she thinks money and wealth are a very human "disease", she finds herself in financial troubles. As a queen, she lavishes herself and finds it justified. Now that she has lived with this luxury, she is unsure how to live without it. This being said, how Sophie-Anne appears to others is of very big importance to her. She likes to look elegant and prim, right down to her dark curled eyelashes. In a way, she figures if she visualizes a woman of great importance and wealth, she will become that.
Appearing as a woman who exudes a great amount of sex appeal, Sophie-Anne generally uses her catty playful side as a distraction from her overtly inability to be in a stable relationship. She has a very open idea on the idea of sexuality. She finds it more of a sporting game to pass the time. She has a difficult time feeling much emotional connection toward males during sex. Because of this, Sophie-Anne typically feels more strongly toward other females. The aura of her is rather off-putting at times, as she is selfish and only interested in her own advances, but that does not distract too much from the undeniable character that Sophie-Anne also appears as. She is a fun and flirty girl, she shows large amounts of charisma and dignity within herself. She does have a rather large ego and dislikes it when people step on it. To her image is the most prominent thing and she is only as important as people see her. She likes helping people with simple problems that require very little actual skill to resolve. Perhaps she just sees it as a boost to her credibility, but either way she mainly does it for her own personal gain.

Memphis peered across the lake, the sound of the rain that cascaded around (and on them) setting a sense of serenity to the area. It was peaceful, a kind of silence that she wasn't used to. Sitting beside Brooks she didn't feel the need at this point, to start a conversation. The calmness and quiet was welcome, Memphis appreciated the way that the two of them didn't need to speak. Her eyes glanced towards the boy opposed to her, analyzing the way he tucked his hair away from his face. She looked away slowly, biting gently at her lower lip. Feeling a prick of the flesh on her plump bottom lip, she brought her finger tips to where she felt the pressure from. Glancing down at her pointer finger, she saw the red liquid on top of her skin. It had become a habit of Memphis' to bite her lip, however she always ended up biting a tad bit too hard. This wasn't exactly difficult, seeing how fragile the meat of a lower lip is and how dangerous and needle-like her fangs were.
Life as a Vampire was never easy to Memphis, it was actually severely challenging. You had to worry about things like diet, daylight, and operating around humans. It took awhile for things to sink in, such as that Mem was unable to go into the sunlight. The inability to have the warmth of a summer day on your skin was seemingly hard for her to digest. On the topic of digestion, this was on of the more difficult things for Memphis to adjust to. Sure she was able to eat human foods, though they weren't of the same pedigree as before. Normal foods were no longer tasty or even remotely great. It was similar to chewing on cardboard or slurping on mud. The more preferred option of feeding was on human blood. In younger years it was harder for Memphis to control her thirst, and many unsolved muggle murders were thanks to her. These were parts of her that she would probably never forgive herself for, which reminded her of the fact she was a creature... she was indeed a monster. Of course, time did pass and it showed. She was now sitting beside a boy, who she guessed had fairly sweet blood, probably something sugary he had eaten a few hours previous to them meeting.
Memphis' thoughts were distracted by Brooks, who spoke of the storm. It had been some time since she had focused on somebodies blood, as she tried regularly to tune out the senses she had gained that allowed her to hear blood being pumped from someone, the smell of the liquid flowing through the veins and even the memories of what it was like when it poured endlessly down her throat. "I don't like the sun. Too... hot," She choked out, shaking her head to rid her of thoughts of human blood. At least, human blood from a person beside her. She hadn't realized how completely idiotic her response to him was, as Memphis was busy scolding herself for even thinking of his blood. It was so normal... so casual for a Vampire to think of blood, it seemed almost cliche.
"I'm not like other girls," Memphis said in turn, a crooked smile played across her features. She wasn't really looking at him, her ruby eyes still focusing on the distant horizon in front of the two of them. The explanation was brief, yes, but Memphis thought it explained her quite well. She was not like most girls at Hogwarts. After living as long as she had, it seemed silly to waste her time thinking about many of the things that typical girls did. Obviously she was different from them in the fact that she was a different species, but that wasn't the point. At Brooks next questions, Memphis knitted her eyebrows together, her mind playing a rewind. "I think we went to Ireland for a few weeks, Djimon has discovered a liking to Irish beer. It's quite uncommon for him to do so," She gave, laughing to herself as if she was in on some kind of joke. In a way she was, knowing that Vampires didn't easily enjoy human drinks. However, somehow Djimon found that Irish beer was quite appealing to him, although he still did throw it up in a couple of hours. "Well, I'm strictly from London, lived there for quite some time. However, the Bluud family is from all over Europe. We're residing in London now, which is a great thing for me. I suppose I'd be lost if I was to go start fresh," Memphis mused lightly, smiling at Brooks softly. She wasn't lying, save for the years that she spent venturing around as a nomad with the Vampires who had changed her, she lived in London her whole life. "What about you?" She asked in return, feeling more trusting towards Brooks than what she imagined she would have. Perhaps it was because he was showing her a good time and didn't seem to be afraid of her. This proved to have a pretty decent impact on how she viewed people.
