JESSICA lauren HAMBY
is annoying, adventerous, and loud
Name: Jessica Hamby.
Age: Seventeen.
Species: Vampire.
Hometown: Grew up around Shreveport, lives in Bon Temps now.
Status: Complicated.
History:
Jessica Hamby was the first born to her parents, and her little sister, Eden, followed some years after. Life in her house was always the same, tied together by the Bible, mostly. Her parents were very religious and lived their lives like that, according to the word of God. It wasn't the best life, not the kind of life that she didn't want to live. The only person she truly was close to in her house was her little sister. She hated the life that she was living, and she hated that poor Eden had to live the entirely same life that she was. It wasn't fair that she had to go through all the abuse. In conclusion, Jessica hated her life. She always wanted to go out and have some friends, but being able to not do that, life sucked.
Her life had taken a huge turn the one night she had decided to break the rules and sneak out of the house in order to go to a party she had heard about. She was sure that she wouldn't have been very accepted by the kids at this party but Jessica had been tired of just sitting at home and doing nothing but homework and chores at home. She never made it to the party because she had been snatched away, kidnapped by vampires and brought in front of Bill Compton for him to change her.
Jessica was turned into a vampire and for the first two weeks of her new life, she had lived with Eric and Pam. They probably gave her views on being a vampire that her own maker would never have approved of, such as feeding off humans instead of drinking TruBlood. Either way, Jessica had left rather annoying and returned not only more annoying, but kind of bitchy as well. She hated getting used to mainstreaming but soon, found herself fitting in with Bill. She had met a human named Hoyt, and although she had been going out on a hunt, Hoyt had turned out to be more than her dinner. She had never even bit into him. Instead, they turned out really liking each other and in the end, they became a couple. Jessica had been mainstreaming quite well, even though she still has urges to act out.
Personality:
Jessica had always been a quiet girl, obeying daddy's rules and never stepping a foot out of line. There was always a part of her that wanted to just go out and cause some trouble but the fear of her dad beating her had always kept her in line. Really, it wasn't the fact that Jessica was naturally a good girl that had kept her that way, it was her father that kept her that way. The Jessica that showed herself was completely different from the Jessica that wanted to explore the world that was hidden in her. She never spoke out of line, barely got the chance to have any fun, what with the constant homework and chores.
All that changed when she was turned to punish Bill Compton after he had killed Longshadow. When she realized she actually had freedom from her parents, she had instantly began acting out. She swore, she jumped around and started being loud, causing trouble. It had been for only a short time because once the excitement of being free wore off, she was confused and lonely, not knowing anything about being a vampire. She also began to hate herself, realizing that being a vampire isn't all it's built up to be, especially since that TruBlood stuff sucks so bad.

It involves Bill as well.
Blue eyes snapped open as the sun had obviously set. It really sucked waking up under the house, in the ground. Couldn't Bill have set up some kind of secret cubby hole or something inside? Sure, waking up in the ground was all good and fun for boys but Jessica wasn't a boy, she wasn't even a techincal woman. She was a seventeen-year-old vampire, a teenaged vampire.. She definitely needed some kind of sleeping arrangements that were more comfortable. Yes, she needed to be in a space where the sun couldn't reach her during the day but she was sure that if they looked hard enough, she and Bill would be able to find somewhere a lot more comfortable for them to sleep in. She'd probably discuss that with him tonight.
She stumbled out of the dirt hole in the linen closet before finally shutting the door softly behind her. Red hair rested upon her shoulders and the first thing she did was hurry toward the bathroom to brush her hair. Just because she was a vampire, it didn't mean that she wouldn't still want to look nice. She had "girled"-up Bill's bathroom a bit since she had moved in so it made her feel a bit more comfortable. Besides, in an old house like this, she needed all the comfort she could get. Getting her hair brushed, she debated whether or not to do some make-up. She was as pale as ever and with Sookie always in the house she had more access to make-up. Deciding against it, she moved from the bathroom and headed to the stash of TruBlood. She grabbed one, popped the top off and set it in the microwave

Jessica was already awake, Bill could tell. He could hear the movements in the house and the only other person in there at this time would be Jessica. As he pulled himself out of his sleeping spot, his thoughts immediately went to Sookie. She might drop by, she might not, they never really had arranged times but she was usually around every night, or he'd go across the graveyard to her house. He didn't mind, of course, having her company was very refreshing. She had been the first human to actually welcome him decently when he had come to Bon Temps and that was something he wouldn't forget.
Walking into the room, he spotted Jessica taking out the TruBlood container of B positive from the microwave. He was glad to see that she was beginning to like the synthetic blood more and more. When she had first arrived there it had taken forever to for him to get her to find a certain blood type that she enjoyed. It seemed that she went for the B positive.
"Good mornin'," he said as he went to receive his own bottle. Jessica sighed as she moved away from the microwave and sat down.
"It isn't morning," she corrected him. This whole thing still had some getting used to.
"Well, yes, but saying good-night isn't really going to work in this instance," Bill replied, putting his own bottle to warm up. Jessica just rolled her eyes a bit and took a sip from the bottle.
